Addinelly Moreno, a sophomore education major, has the opportunity to enjoy two passions at once, education and hair.
Moreno is a sophomore at PAC and her major is education with a concentration in early childhood development.
Moreno graduated from Brackenridge High School of 2009. During high school she was able to get her beauty license. She is currently working at a salon as a hair stylist.
“With God’s willing, I’m going to continue my career at A&M San Antonio, “ said Moreno, who would like to go into Early Childhood Development.
Moreno is also considering a minor in business to one day open a day care center. Moreno has enjoyed her Education classes, and she has found her professors to be very helpful.
“I definitely learned a lot in my Education classes,” said Moreno. “In order to pass, we have to do 20 hours observing a class, which is awesome because I was able to get an idea of teaching.“
Moreno is a dedicated student, and she wants to make the most out of her college experience by participating on campus.
“Taking advantage was very important, because I was able to get the help I needed and especially in the subjects that I had trouble in,” said Moreno. “I am also a part of the SAEP San Antonio Education Partnership Club. It’s pretty fun. I’ve been able to meet new people and have made some good friends.”
Moreno has a tight schedule between work at the salon and school, but she tries her best to take advantage of the resources that Palo Alto has to offer. She has a passion for her education, and she is very excited about her future.
