INTRODUCTION

"Biography of Fausto Milan" Fausto Milan was born in Guantanamo Cuba .org/wiki/Guantánamo_Bay in April 19, 1960. His father's name is Fausto milan and his mothers name is Mata Molban. He is the only male out of six kids. He has a wife name Iris and two kids Denis & Dionne Milan. His nationality is Cuban. He went to Fabio Rosel High School. He Graduated from High School then went on to College. The College he went to was named Jose Antonio AEO. There he studied to be a communications major. Even though he had a great job he loved he wanted more opportunities for his kids. He knew the only way of having a better life for his family was he had to come to the United States. He came legally to the United States when he was 31 years old. The United States did not accredit his college from Cuba so he could not get a job doing what he did in Cuba. His first job that he worked was a dish washer at one of the local restaurants close to where he lived in Miami Florida. His second job was working in a factory that made jewelry. He said they made rings, earrings, watches, bracelets, and many other things. He was not making ends meet for his family he needed to find a better job. One of his friends told him about becoming a Truck Driver he told him that he would make a lot of money doing long haul trips. So he decided to go to school to become a Truck Driver which he still is as of today. When Fausto's work permit was about to expire he decided that he wanted to become a United States Citizen. So he started the procedure in 2011 and in March 18, 2012 he became a United States Citizen. When I asked him how he felt being a United States Citizen; he said there is no greater feeling knowing that you are no longer an immigrant in the US.

Fausto and Cynthia when we first meet in 2008

- I learned alot from talking with my friend Fausto he is an amazing person who has been through many hardships. One of the things I learned about doing this project was, what it was like growing up really poor in Cuba. Fausto is very smart and his family means everything to him.to him. No, my veiw did not change there is a relly big problem with Immigration. We need to be more fair to they people who are coming to the United States with the dream for a better life. One thing that he told me was that he did not regret being poor. That it helped him to want to do better and make a better life for his family. He taught to appericiate the love of your family and always be there to help out the ones you love. I looked up the places on the Internet like the places he was born to verify the locations he talked about. This project was a wonderful thing to help me learn more about my wonderfull friend who I love as a brother.
