Night hours expanded

For those who are without a computer or need help with an algebra class at night, the Student Learning Assistance Center will now be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 8:30 p.m., along with Assessment and TASP, Admissions and Records, Student Financial Services, Counseling and the Dean of Student Services.

The Academic Computing Center hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

"I don’t have a computer and I get out at 8 p.m., so if I need any last minute work on a paper, it’ll help," said sophomore Criminal Justice major Jennifer Garza.

Low-fare care for dogs and cats

On Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., student Veterinary Technicians will be at Palo Alto to administer yearly booster shots and rabies shots for cats and dogs, heartworm prevention and more.

Shots and flea prevention medications for pets can be expensive, so take advantage of the low rates offered. Check-ups will be near the campus entrance at 1400 W. Villaret in the portable buildings.

For further information on the event, or if you are interested in the Vet Tech Program, please contact Jennifer O’Connell, recruiter for the Veterinary Technician Program, at 531-8709 or joconnel@accd.edu.
