Student spotlights

Priscilla Stanley, Deanie Compton, Angie Gomez, Lupe Flores, Jason Reed, Micah Rowden and Eddie Wise represented Palo Alto College at the University of Houston--Clear Lake Research and Creativity Conference this month, April 14 and 15. Communications student Felix S. Cabrera is running for mayor of Stockdale. If elected on May 1, he will be the youngest and first Hispanic mayor of Stockdale. Fencer Christopher Cox placed second in a tournament hosted by the Palo Alto College Fencing Center on March 27. Cox fenced in the Men's Epee event and earned his national rating of "E". Yvette Arguijo, Environmental Technologies major, was certified as a Registered Environmental Manager (REM) for her work experience and academic credentials earned from the Palo Alto Environmental Technologies Program.
