What are your earliest childhood memories?

What was your dream career or join if you were able to have finish High School or gotten a College degree and why?
I had always wanted to be a Wild Life park Ranger. I loved the outdoors, I like working with animals and taking care of them, I like fishing, I just love to be outside. And as a park ranger you work outside all day and still protect the animals and keep the park safe. I have would have liked to been able to work at The Texas National Park in Leaky Texas.

How was it living in a one room House with all your 10 siblings and parents?
We were happy, my gram lived next door so we would go over every day .We had our good day and bad but what could have I done we were all living in one room. When we would go to sleep sometimes we were five to a bed. We didn't have a restroom or a wash room so we would just clean up in the chicken sink. It was actually normal for everyone to live this way

What were your house chorus or specific job in the house hold?
Taking the Garbage out and sweeping the house. My mom would make me take care of all your Aunts and Uncles because I was the oldest .She s would have me changing them cloth or feeding the ones that were still little.

What kind of things did you do as a child?
When I would finish working with my dad I would go with friends and go watch movie at the Cinema. The movie theater was across my house so I would meet everyone. We would all go walking down to the river and try to fish by making a fishing pole with whatever we could find.

What kind of food did your parents prepared to feed all the family?
My dad was never home because he work as a truck driver and when he would return home he would buy a sack of a hundred pounds of potato and beans. He would also boy Lots of big boxes of Soup and cans of tomatoes. It wasn't a lot but that's what my dada could buy and would feed me and my brothers and sisters.

What was your job before you came to San Antonio?
I would drive trucks with my dad all day. We would halt all the vegetables and fruits from farms. Like the tomatoes and pickles, watermelons but we would do a lot of onions. The smell of the onion would bother me a lot all day. My favorite was the cotton to haul because we were able to drive around all over the country more.

How was it when you have first arrived to San Antonio?
When I first arrived to San Antonio I was really hard trying to find a job the good thing is that my Sister Alice and Mary lived here so me and your mom would stay with them but it took me about Three months to try and find a job . Finally and friend I meet told me about a job all the way at the North East side of town. A mild drive from where My Sister lived. So I went and they gave me a job of cleaning the church there.

How is San Antonio Different from Your Home Town?
Well in Crystal city it a lot smaller then San Antonio I would guess about the size of Round Down Town. Their all of more small ranches is what the people have. And in San Antonio we really don't talk to the next door neighbors and in Crystal City everyone knew everyone around their. You could just go walking pretty much any were because everything is all next to each. And here we have to drive about ten minutes to go to HEB or to visit a family member or friend we would just go walking across the streets without been worry if something might happen to you .

How has San Antonio change since you first arrived to know?
When I first got here it was pretty big as it is right know but before there wasn't as many complex apartments or lots of colonies of new homes. There was not too many shopping centers as it is known. Before you had more space to drive on the road and know their always building new bridges because of all the cars driving around. Their too many people know in San Antonio then there was at firs. I would go cut the grass at a few restaurants on one part of the city and everything there was nothing nut a field of trees and grass and know their shopping mall , restaurants and lots of new homes and apartments . Not the same when we first got her.

ANALYSIS

Reynaldo Jimenez with Santa (2013)

Sharing and presenting the story Reynaldo Jiménez about living in San Antonio . the students have gotten to know how life was almost 20years ago when he hade arrived to San Antonio . How much of a difference its from growing up in small town and then moving to a large city. What a large family Reynaldo hade and how difficult it wasn't growing up in a small town in the era of the baby boomers,The most they have enjoy of my presentacion was learning about the big family he grew up in and how they have manage to all live togather in one large but small room . Also how they were interested how of a large family he has of his own and how much he loves fishing . Many of the question ask about class mates were about how much he loves fishing as whats his favriot kind of fish to eat and to what if one of his great fishing storys . well his favorite fish to eat is cat fish and one of his best fishing storys is a fish he hade caught almost a year in a half ago in the small pond at the park down my street , it was a large fish actually 37 inches long and 18 inches wide very big fish , he was very proud that day and love the attention of all the people coming up to ask to see and take a picture with it . Many of the questions ask were about my large family and if I ever gone fishing with my dada. well yes I really enjoy going out with him to the lake or pond at the park and just sit there for a while and have a conversation with him while we wait and I most get exited if I get a bit on the hook . Also with growing up in a large family is really amazing and so much fun also yes I do remember all my 10 siblings name and when and where they were born were all a close family especially with the girls. The overall impression of my class mate on the presentation was great just had to improve on getting more pictures and my thought I did great I really enjoy learning so much more I dint know about my father and talking about his life story was really exciting.
