ANALYSIS

Some of the important points made in this interview were finding out parts of Josephina’s life story. We learned what she went through in life, how she handled it and chose to live and treat others in spite of trials she faced. She chose to stay positive, considerate and caring all these years of others and her mother. The interviewee did not show or express much feeling. She was honest and to the point. I sincerely appreciate her willingness going through this process. This history project gave me an opportunity to examine her life carefully and with a different set of views. It taught me that all human beings are capable of being positive and grateful even when facing life trials. Some benefits of learning about the past through her story and the oral history process is now knowing I can change my future through strength and wisdom. Overall I believe this is an effective way to learn about the past.
