Grading Criteria: Small-Town Projects

So here is what the instructor requires for this assignment. Use this as a sort of check-list to complete BEFORE your work is submitted. If these are NOT completed properly, students will be asked to re-do the work. You can do this with ONE other student. Be careful, though. Sometimes it is better to work alone.

 

    _____1. Your project directly addresses most or all content requirements suggested on the Template (30 points)

    _____2. Your project includes an 2-3 page Oral History, with one or more individuals in the town you researched. An An Interview Agreement Form needs to be signed to publish interviews on the web. (30 points)

    _____3. Your project has an informative introduction (write this AFTER you have finished your paper completely), and an informative conclusion. (20 points)

    _____4. Your project makes specific connections with the course themes through the use of text support, links to the internet, and oral histories. (20 points)

    _____5. Correct grammar and mechanics (capitalization, punctuation, spelling (20 points)

    _____6. References cited by author and page in the body of the essay (20 points)

    _____7. You produce a web page so your work can posted on the Internet. (60 points)

    ______8. A rough draft, including most if not all of the information for your final draft, is submitted by the assigned due date. (30 points)

    ______9. An Annotated Bibliography, listing all information sources consulted (books, people interviewed, internet sources, newspapers, etc.) placed at the bottom of your web page. (20 points)

    Total Points: 250

    This Project Will Account For Approximately 1/3 Of Students' Final Grade For The Course.
