First Peanuts

 

Harry Schroeter of Poteet was the first grower in the county to bring in a truckload of peanuts at Gold Kist in Pleasanton Saturday.

Schroeter said he didn't have to irrigate his Starr Spanish peanuts because rainfall was plentiful and he dug them out early to avoid any disease to them.

Helping him unload here is Tommy Shearrer.
